Bangkok, Thailand

Asia has been on my list of places to go for a very long time. We flew into the concrete city of Bangkok we spent just a few days here absorbing the culture and adjusting to jetlag. We enjoyed our short stay in Bangkok at Le Méridien Hotel, despite popular opinion of Bangkok just being a pitstop, there are so many temples and so much amazing food just right on the street that I could have made it more than a pit stop. Not to mention it is even cheaper, by Western standards, than the rest of Thailand. We got in late at night after 22 hours in flight, the taxi driver attempted to over charge us but quickly changed his tune when we got out of the cab to ask the bellhop how much it should cost. We tried to pay him only to find that a woman at the Atlanta airport had given us Taiwanese money instead of the Thai baht. We woke up early the following morning to enjoy breakfast made on the busy streets of the city. So much deliciousness! During our trip we made our way to many of the famous temples in town, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, & Wat Arun. We also visited the canals, the floating market, as well as the train market. It was just the beginning of our adventures though, next stop, Cambodia... -CarolineFloating market in Thailandpurr cat cafedocumentary photography in Thailand
